Pomerania (Germany / Sweden) 1/48 Taler (Shilling) 1684 BA - Stettin countermark of Stettin "Crown" - Karl IX (1660-1697)

0.72g. F/VG. Deformation, Fragile. Traces of countermark "Crown". SB 187 XR. Extremely Rare!

1/48 thaler coin dating from the Swedish occupation of Western Pomerania. It features a countermake of Stettin on the reverse, represented by a crown (Ahlström type D). These countermarks, applied in the 1690s, were typically found on coins with a high silver content. This particular variation also bears the initials 'BA' beneath the Griffin.
