Vladislaus III (Władysław III Warneńczyk) (1424-1444) was King of Poland and King of Hungary. His reign culminated in the crusade against the Ottoman Empire, ending with his death at the Battle of Varna in 1444, which halted the campaign and became one of the defining events of his short reign.
