(The first in Poland to be distinguished with the royal crown; as a victor he marked the boundaries of the realm up to the Elbe, Dnieper, and Ossa; died in 1025 at the age of 58, after a reign of 33 years, on April 3).
Bolesław I the Brave - Bolesław I Chrobry (967-1025) was the first King of Poland, ruling from 992 and crowned in 1025. He established Poland as a major power in Central and Eastern Europe, extending its influence over territories corresponding to modern Poland, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. His reign saw military expansion, consolidation of royal authority, and the strengthening of Poland’s position within the Christian world.
