Evgeny Oskarovich Paton (1870–1953) was a Russian and Soviet engineer and scientist, a pioneer in the field of welding technology. He made major contributions to the development of electric welding and founded the E. O. His work played an important role in industrial construction and engineering throughout the Soviet Union.
