Petrovsky Poltava Cadet Corps - a military educational institution of the Russian Imperial Army, founded in 1840 in Poltava. It provided secondary education combined with military training, preparing boys for officer service. Graduates of the corps participated in major conflicts of the 19th–early 20th centuries, including the Crimean War and later imperial campaigns.
