The firm "Morozov" was founded in 1849 in St. Petersburg by Ivan Yekimovich Morozov (1825-1885), who later became an honorary citizen by inheritance, a merchant of the first guild, and a knight. His son, Vladimir Ivanovich, continued the business until 1917 (confirmed the title of Supplier to the Imperial Court on January 15, 1894).
