The Kreenholm textile factory in Narva used tokens for supplying rations of bread to workers. Kreenholm had its own bakery, and each family got 32 pounds (13.11 kg) bread for an adult and 16 pounds (6.55 kg) for a child per month. As it was too time consuming to keep individual account of all bread recipients (there were about 10 000 workers), special tokens for bread were used from 1895 until 1917.
