Wenceslaus II (Wacław II) (1271-1305) was King of Bohemia and, from 1300, also King of Poland, ruling territories corresponding to modern Czechia and Poland. His reign marked a brief union between Bohemia and Poland and was associated with economic development, including the expansion of silver mining in Kutná Hora (Czechia), which strengthened royal finances and influence in Central Europe.
