Shota Rustaveli (c. 12th–13th century) was a Georgian poet and statesman, best known for his epic poem The Knight in the Panther’s Skin. Written during the Golden Age of Georgia under Queen Tamar, the poem is considered a masterpiece of medieval Georgian literature and a cornerstone of the country’s cultural heritage, celebrated for its themes of chivalry, friendship, and love.
