Medalier: Unattributed (German engraver).

Delzanno (SKM) 289d (Br) R - more than 10 known exemplars in private collections, but rarely found in the trade, R. Delzanno reports that only two specimens have been documented as sold; Hildebrand 190.

Die of obverse a 1709 Pomeranian ducat, SMB 220 XR; Delzanno Gold Coins from Sweden 49-50 (obverse).

Obv.: Draped bust of Charles XII of Sweden right, wearing periwig.

Inscription around:

CAROL·XII· D·G·REX·SVEC·

(Charles XII, by the Grace of God, King of Sweden).

Rev.: Eight-line German text, ending with the date 1716 in the exergue.
